Posting Context Statement:
Under the supervision of the EHR and Policy Manager, this position will assist the Student Health Services management team in providing operational support to clinical and administrative staff. They will also play a key role in developing new systems, tools, and processes to streamline and automate operations as the clinic continues to grow and attain new capabilities. They will be the primary point of contact for user support in healthcare systems, including the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and will exercise initiative in solving emergent problems, and developing job aids, workflows, and other system resources.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting daily Student Health Service operations by working collaboratively with staff to determine their needs and using technical and administrative expertise to develop solutions. They also assist with planning, implementation, and upkeep of new systems and processes and provide a critical line of communication between administrative and clinical staff.
Required Experience:
- Two years performing administrative, office and/or technical support functions or related duties
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, email, internet searches, and data organization
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other:
- None
Additional Preferred:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience interpreting, applying and working within healthcare regulations such as the HIPAA of 1996 and FERPA, pertaining to the release of protected health information
- Experience providing customer service and technical assistance
- Experience using software for work management, process management, and process automation
